Suite Beginnings at Dukes Memorial Hospital has private birthing suites for your birthing experience. Throughout pregnancy, a variety of classes are available for the whole family. Dukes Hospital's Suite Beginnings has recently added a new service. We now offer free of charge to our little patients a noninvasive bilirubin screen. All babies are tested prior to discharge and the new equipment allows the testing without a heel stick. A gentler way to treat our babies.  Another way that Dukes cares for the comfort of our new parents is that we have a HUGS security system. The system connects the baby with the mother for identifcation and safety by a light weight ankle bracelt for the infant and an arm band for the mother.  We want to ensure that the needs and comforts of our new parents and babies our meet.  Thank you for choosing Dukes Memorial Hospital.
