Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care Program is a ministry provided by the clergy of Miami county in cooperation with Dukes Memorial Hospital. A Chaplain is in the hospital five days a week and on call for emergencies 24 hours a day.  Volunteer Chaplains are in the hospital on various other days.  They represent all churches and faiths in the county.

The ministry of the Chaplain is to visit patients, pray for patients and staff, pray for those undergoing procedures, provide counseling and assistance and, upon request, notify churches, pastors or priests.  The Chaplains are interested in you and will assist you in meeting your spiritual needs.

The Chaplain can be reached by e-mailing sfleck@dukesmemorialhosp.com or by calling (765) 472-8000, extension 3124.  Regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m.
